Product Applications
Use AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil in all two-stroke snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, PWCs and where API-TC and JASO FD oils are specified:

• Polaris®

• Direct-fuel injected (DFI), Electronic-fuel-injected (EFI) & Carbureted engines.

Use as injection oil or 50:1 premix (2.6 oz. per U.S. gallon of gas). INTERCEPTOR is compatible with most conventional and synthetic two-stroke oils; however, for best performance, mixing oils should be minimized.


Product Description
Two-stroke powersports equipment is meant to be ridden hard. Repeatedly pushing a machine to wide-open throttle during all-day, aggressive riding, however, takes its toll on the engine. INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil is specifically designed for reliability and longevity in hard-ridden snowmobiles, dirt bikes, ATVs and PWCs, helping enthusiasts spend more time riding and less performing maintenance. Its low-smoke, low-odor properties help ensure riders won’t be "smoked out." INTERCEPTOR is compatible with nearly all other two-stroke oils and is recommended for most makes and models of two-stroke powersports equipment, eliminating the need to purchase and store multiple types of oil. It's an oil engineered to be pushed as hard as the equipment it protects.

Anti-Scuff / Anti-Wear
Two-stroke powersports engines have evolved to run on leaner gas-to-oil mixtures, increasing harmful friction and heat. INTERCEPTOR's synthetic formulation incorporates high-molecular-weight components with high flash points that resist burn-off. As a result, a greater amount of oil survives the combustion process to provide lubrication and protection. Its excellent lubricity and film strength inhibit metal-to-metal contact. In extreme dynamometer testing, INTERCEPTOR's anti-scuff/anti-wear formula completely prevented piston skirt scuffing.

Excellent Deposit Control
INTERCEPTOR naturally resists harmful deposits due to its thermally stable synthetic formulation. It is additionally fortified with high-temperature detergency and dispersancy additives that provide excellent engine cleanliness. In extreme dynamometer testing, INTERCEPTOR completely prevented piston ring and exhaust power valve sticking for maximum performance. It also limited piston, combustion chamber and spark plug deposits for reliable operation.

Proven in Extreme Dynamometer Test on Rotax® E-TEC® Engine
INTERCEPTOR was installed in a 2012 BRP® Ski-Doo® Renegade X snowmobile equipped with a Rotax E-TEC 800R engine. Following 50 hours of severe-duty engine dynamometer testing designed to simulate a full season of real-world conditions, the engine was disassembled and rated for deposits, wear and other distress by an ASTM calibrated rater. Each component earned a merit rating on a scale of 0 to 10 (with 10 representing no distress) or a percentage rating (with 0 percent representing no distress). I can vouch for Amsoil 2 cycle oil.
I've used other 2 cycle oil brands in my yard equipment and had to keep the rpm up so it wouldn't stall.
I found with Amsoil 2 cycle oil the equipment would idle without complaint and respond when called on.

Excellent 2-stroke confidence

I have a motorcycle repair shop and I work on all makes all models. I also own a 1976 Yamaha RD 400 and I wouldn't use anything else but AMSOIL in my bike or customers. Burns perfectly and it gives me and customers confidence that their rebuilt motors are maintained properly.

Very clean burning 2stroke oil!

It works!

I use this in my sons PW50. I put a new top end on it just after buying it and wanted the best oil. This oil works well through the injector. It surprised me that it's brown like motor oil...most 2 stroke oils are green, red, etc.

I will be hard pressed to find a better oil

We use this oil in our snowmobiles religiously. It is a clean burning oil which means the power valves stay cleaner. It pours good in the cold weather and doesn't smell bad .

I discovered 2 main things about AmsOil: 1) less smoke. 2) Retains pourability in -15F temps - the other oil becomes like a pudding. Interceptor is still a fluid. This gives me confidence in operating at subzero temps...and I use my sleds at -15F often. With the discount, the price is the same as other performance brands. Lastly - Interceptor is more available in the woods than Yamalube (or Polaris)...this is important when your trail ride runs longer than you expected and the nearest gas or bar happens to have it on hand.

Great product

I was a bit skeptical about using such a small amount of oil for my chain saw but I decided to try it. My 16" STIHL is an older model so I didn't care if it blew up. To my surprise it didn't. In fact I tried to in hopes I could go get a new one. I really like the oil at 80:1. No smoke great idle and great power. Burnt through a whole gallon. I will purchase it again. I love my AMSOIL.

Quality Oil

Excellent 2 stroke oil. I use in my snowmobiles of course, but it works great in other 2 stroke applications. I buy only Amsoil products now that I have been using their oils for the past year. Excellent performance in all applications.

Love your products but even with my membership I can go buy brp synthetic snowmobile oil for cheaper and I find a lot of your other oils are going that way too so unless you can drop prices I'm going to have to buy somewhere else

Solid product

Best on the market for seadoos

Only oil I will use in my seadoo skis. As good as, if not better, than seadoo oil. Pleasant odor, performs well & doesn't gum up the rave(power) valves.

Best I could find anywhere

After trying this product I rarely use any other brand of oil for all of my cars, toys and lawn equipment. The only complaint I have is that a full gallon of interceptor is VERY hard to pour without making a mess

I use this in all my 2 strokes but the most notable one I use it on is my 84 9.9 mariner boat motor. Even with it sitting in woods for 15 years and having a rusty crank this oil keeps it running like new with no issues whatsoever. Firmly believe interceptor makes it run like it should.

I've been using this product for at least the last 10 maybe 15 years. I use it in all of our 2 stroke dirtbikes. It burns clean and keeps power valves from gumming up. It also keeps top ends clean and neat. That's why I keep buying it

I use this oil in my 2007 Artic cat crossfire 600 with a power valve. I find it smokes less and is priced better than cat synthetic. I'm happy with the product very much.

The best oil for 2 Stroke Engines with Power Valves

Interceptor oil has been my choice for over five years, and in two different Dirt Bikes, that I race. Each engine has power valves.
The formulation in this oil keeps the valves clean and has cured the siezeing of my valves with gum and carbon.
In addition it is a superior lubricant. I have the utmost confidence in my engine using Interceptor oil, and when your engine is going through the rigors of racing, you need an oil like Interceptor.

Great product cleans power values sled run much better
