LSPI is the spontaneous ignition of the fuel/air mixture prior to spark-triggered ignition. Most new engines feature gasoline direct-injection (GDI), often coupled with a turbocharger. Hot and Cold-Engine Protection
AMSOIL Extended-Life Synthetic Motor Oils are multi-viscosity formulations. Compared to conventional oils, they better resist the effects of thermal breakdown, including evaporation and viscosity loss, while remaining fluid in cold temperatures for easier cold starts and fast start-up circulation.

COMPATIBILITY & MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL Extended-Life Synthetic Motor Oil is compatible with conventional and other synthetic motor oils. Mixing other oils with AMSOIL motor oils, however, will shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.

Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL Extended-Life Synthetic Motor Oil.

SERVICE LIFE
Normal Service - Up to 20,000 miles (32,000 km) or one year, whichever comes first, in personal vehicles not operating under severe service.
Severe Service - Up to 12,000 miles (20,000 km) or one year, whichever comes first. Severe service conditions include commercial or fleet vehicles; excessive idling; or frequent towing, hauling, plowing or driving in dusty conditions.

• Modified engines (non-stock), racing vehicles and vehicles using alternative fuels (E85, CNG, propane, etc.) are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations.
• Change at the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended drain interval outside U.S. and Canada.
• AMSOIL Oil Filters are designed for extended drain intervals. Do not exceed 12,000 miles (20,000 km) or one year with other brand filters unless longer intervals are recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Always change filter when changing oil.
• Check oil regularly to maintain proper fill levels. AMSOIL Oil Filters stop smaller particles, flow more oil and last longer than regular filters. For best performance, use AMSOIL Oil Filters.

Fantastic

Use this oil in our motor home, three cars, it's just awesome! We live in Anchorage, Alaska, and the cold winter starts are great-we don't hear any knocking when we first start the vehicles in the morning, and yes we do use the motor home in the winter to go snowmobiling-and the temperature at night can go low as -30 degrees (it did happen), the motor home started with no noise coming from the engine-quiet. As to other conventional oils you would hear cold oil knocking until until the oil warms up, NOT AMSOIL!!! And the mileage-we saw an increase in miles to gallon ratio. I'm will always stick to AMSOIL!!!

Again I discovered Amsoil approximately 15 years ago, I ran it in my Dodge Durango, & My Silverado.
I now I'll run it in my Mazda 6.

There's a definite extra smoothness in the engine while running Amsoil vs would I formally Grande I run Angela and all my four-wheel and two wheeled vehicles also run many other Amsoil products I can't say enough about it.

Outstanding oil products!

Top quality oil product! I use Amsoil in all my vehicles both on and off-road. It's outstanding how Amsoil's synthetic blend oils stand up to thermal breakdown. I typically replace my vehicles engine oil after 10,000 km...and it comes out darn near the colour it went in. Even in my Duramax!

Best product on the market. I've used it in my Honda CrV for 13 years, I wouldn't consider using anything else. No issues with the engine and the oil comes out clean! Not sludgy like other oils.

This oil is really good, I use it in a Nissan car. Before the normal oil my car would burn in a part every 1000 miles. Now with this one it burned the same but in 1900 miles and using the air conditioning. So this oil is really good to use. I really recommend.

Hi - I am running this is high mileage jeep (Florida) that per my Torque Lite / app & module the jeep is running 4-7' cooler since using this oil. the only way is less friction. again live in FL and on June day I changed oil I ran my jeep around block to warm oil before change and after oil change took same route and some highway and was actually several degrees warmer (late AM till afternoon heat) and just love this oil.

NOTE - IF you live in cold areas I personally would not run 10/40 as 5W-30 flows better when cold. I just have always ran thicker oil in summer heat in FL

I use this oil exclusively in my personally owned '03 Chevy 2500 and '04 Chevy Tahoe. The 2500 have around 250k and the Tahoe at almost 275k. Both engines run as smooth as butter.

XL 0W-20 Synthetic.

I switched my vehicles to full synthetic after trying it in my motorcycle. I now buy by the gallon and switched everything to synthetic oil, differentials, transfer case, etc. Gallon containers are convenient and economically priced. I'm amazed by the amount of residual deposits that are removed during the first switchover oil change in my vehicles that are were quite honestly, very well maintained.

Been using it in my motorcycles for years.

The first oil change after using Amsoil, my K&P oil filter had lots of gunk in it. The next oil change there was almost nothing. I'm hoping that it will take care of the bad oil delivery system in my Ford F-150 engine.

Look my friends, if you have searched for the best oil on the internet for countless hours as I have, AMSOIL is truly the best you can get so stop searching and just get it. I have tried many, many other brands and nothing I have ever used even comes close to AMSOIL. I use AMSOIL products in all of my small engines, lawnmowers, weed eater, pressure washer, generator, as well as my personally owned vehicles. This stuff is the real deal and doesn't evaporate, and does just what is it is supposed to do, that is, protect your equipment/vehicles. Don't waste your time and money looking elsewhere, just give AMSOIL a try and you wont use anything else. I have been down the road looking for the best protection and have finally found it in AMSOIL products. Thank you AMSOIL.

Harley Ultra Classic

I started using this in my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic in 2006 and I could tell an immediate difference in the engine heat and noise. The engine was noticeably cooler and quieter. On my third Harley now and use this oil religiously. Will never use anything else.

Put Amsoil in at 20000 miles had not used any oil between changes. But since using amsoil its used 1 Quart in 3257 miles. Very disappointed .

My truck has the cam phaser knocking for the last 60-70K miles. I decided to try AMSOIL so I ordered the signature series oil and filter. My truck started using a lot more oil after that. Not sure why. This time I switched to the xl series oil. Now it's not using as much oil. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or what but I'll stick with the xl oil for now.

Stuff is GOOD

I've been using AMSOIL for years, and will only ever recommend/use AMSOIL products for any and all of my fluid needs.
The oil completely blows my mind. I change the oil every 5k on my '04 Mazda 3, despite Mazda recommending 3k. The oil still comes out clean, this stuff never fails to amaze me.

Acura TSX with a high redline

Since redline is around 7,400 rpm on my TSX Acura I want to make sure I'm using one of the best oils made. The car uses no oil between changes and the valve train is very clean. I have 118,000 miles on this car now and it still sounds and runs like new. I'm sure Amsoil is part of the reason.

I used to use castol oil. then my wife said "why don't you just take it to the quick oil place in town. Well, they changed hands and I did know it. I finally saw what they used in my truck. Looked like coffee. Needless to say I had a friend at work who uses Amsoil and he said to try it. I love the way my truck runs now. I am a customer for life.

I average about 6,000 miles on each of my vehicles per year. When Amsoil reformulated this oil to go as much as 1 year/12,000 miles between oil changes,I switched from Amsoil's top tier oils to this.Still great engine protection while saving some cash too. Happy customer !

I'm a trucker by trade and I was traveling through Pennsylvania when a Amsoil distributor passed me. What caught my eyes was the slogan, "The first in synthetic, the last motor oil you will buy." I got the distributor attention and he pulled into the rest area and to make a long story short, he placed his hand on his engine, I was completely shocked and sold. It is the best.

I utilize 6 different types of Amsoil in my 187,000 mile 2003 VW Golf, a 2009 Subaru Forrester with 160,000, my 1987 Chevy 3/4 ton pick-up, a modified VW powered sand rail and a diesel tractor and old IH Cub Cadet Kohler power garden tractors. My fuel mileage increased in my Golf by an average of 2 mpg, the Amsoil Small Engine Oil has decreased the wear on my old K-series Kohlers. Amsoil has been a good value from the price perspective.

For years now I have used Amzoil. The Jeep I have has a high performance Chevy 350 that had cooling issues. A few times it went well above normal temps. The oil did not break down, no damage was done to the engine.

I am using it in my Challenger RT plus and my RAM 1500 sport, both hemi motors and it helped quiet the valvetrain down and increased gas mileage by a couple mpgs, along with feeling a little more freed up ponies from under the hood. Will definitely keep using it!! Plus the reassurance of being able to go 6000 miles and above between oil changes knowing my motor is safe.

The best money I can spend

I used Amsoil for my race motorcycle. It's practically unbelievable that I raced that motor for over 80,000 miles. All my vehicles use entirely and only Amsoil fluids. My work truck, over 200,000 miles, runs smoother and more dependable then the day I bought it. With a clutch strong enough to screech the tires and a temperature gauge that never goes above the quarter mark on a hot Florida day. I cant thank Amsoil enough for saving me thousands in vehicle maintenance.

Best oils for any and all applications Period!

I have been a fan of Amsoil for several years after switching to if after using Mobil 1. At oil change time, Mobil 1 would pour out like water. The first time I used Amsoil and did a routine oil change the difference was startling. The oil had maintained the same consistency, minus color, as when I first added it to the engine. Upon cleaning out the oil drain pan, the used Amsoil oil was so slick, it actually appeared to not have broken down at all. Don't buy any other product, buy Amsoil and you too will use nothing else. I use there products in all of my vehicles, lawn mowers, leaf blowers and snow blowers.

best oil ever

I have been a mechanic for over 40 years on everything from lawnmowers to autos and mostly class 8 trucks with Cummins, cats, Detroits both 2 and 4 stroke, Mack and Volvo diesels. also every type of heavy equipment from all the major manufacturers. I have rebuilt hundreds of gasoline and diesel engines. I know very well how important top quality engine oil is but I didn't think you could hear a difference in engine sound until I put 0w20 xl amsoil in my 2011 honda crv with 110,000 miles on it. I didn't expect to feel or hear any difference as I never did at any other oil change in my life but the first time I brought it up to speed on the highway it sounded quieter than usual so I done a few rapid accelerations and was convinced it was definitely quieter so I changed it in my 2012 crv with the same results. This amazes me that oil can make this difference as after thousands of oil changes in my life I had never experienced this before.

Outstanding performance

I have been using amsoil oil in my 2011 pick up for 2 years and change it after 20k kiss or so. I have been using them highest grade due to long oil change frequency but decided that I would go for one level down. My truck seems to like it more and my mileage has gotten better also I saved a little money in the purchase. Love it and all of Amsoil's products

Amsoil Helps Engines Last

I've used Amsoil in my previous Silverado of 18 years which was running great when I sold it and a new truck. Logged over 220K miles and never had an issue with oil leaks or major engine trouble.

Overall good product

No noticeable difference in power like some have told me, but it is still a good oil and keeps my fuel economy up. Will definitely buy again and I recommend this or the Signature Series to others. I wish they made this weight (10W-40) in Signature Series.

A long time user.

All my cars (well, except for the ones with mileage above 400,000 km) and motorcycles get synthetic oils in them. When I can get Amsoil, that is my oil of choice. Amsoil has been my desired oil for years. Is it better than any other brand of synthetic oil? I don't know from experience, however synthetic oils help my vehicles run cooler, and I believe that synthetic lubricants provide a more consistent layer of lubrication under all conditions of use.

Recently switched to 5W30XL on my GMC Canyon after trying Royal Purple. My truck runs smoother and I'll stick with AMSOIL. Do wish there was an AMSOIL filter available for my 2017 3.6 Canyon. I'd use 5W30 Signature Series.

I use this product in a1990 f150 300 inline 6. I use only Amsoil products because they where the frost in synthetic oil and only synthetic. They did not convert from conventional oil to synthetic like all the other oil companies. I remember when Amsoil came out in the 70's.

What's not to like.

Is AMSOIL expensive, yeah a little, but if you sign up for the Preferred Customer it not bad. I'm definitely a pay a little more in maintenance and avoid having to pay a lot in repairs.

I used to buy the AMSOIL Signature version of the 0W-20 that my truck calls for, but I switched to this to save about 50% on the cost. I get about 6k miles between oil changes (changing at the 20% oil life remaining mark) and it appears I'll get that same interval maybe a bit more (maybe 500-750 extra miles) with this grade oil vice the Signature. I would buy again for sure.

Amsoil the Best

My next door neighbor got me started using Amsoil some years ago. I now use nothing but Amsoil in all my vehicles. It is an excellent product and it is really cheaper to use than conventional motor oils because of the extended change times. I have run Amsoil as long as 24,000 between changes with no problems. I now change my oil when the vehicle computer tells me it is time to change and that is usually aroung 9,500 to 10,000 miles.

The best thing I found out about using this product...cost savings...
with my membership and having only to change the oil 2 times a year ( on 3 cars ) as a Preferred
Customer and the ability to go 12,000 miles between oil and filter changing I save $$$ dollars compared to buying synthetic oil from local auto stores..I usually go every 6 months between the oil change because of the change of weather in my area and I very really put 12,000 miles a year on any of my cars so it does keep that worry off my back when I know the oil has enough life on it if I run a bit late changing it .

I change filter on the cars every 6k and the oil, yearly, regardless of miles. Works just fine. use Wix filters for everything.

Nearly 20 years with this product

I have used Amsoil products since y2k without fail and recommend it to everyone I know. Motorcycles, yard power equipment and my latest suv adventure story... have you ever ran out of oil or burned your engine out of oil, I have with regular oils and those vehicals were dead afterwards. Short here is no oil high temp oil came on nightmarish lost 6 quarts of Amsoil... 3 months later and with replaced Amsoil as if it never happened

Before i used amsoil my engine had a loud and very noticeable tick. After switching to Amsoil synthetic the tick went away and the SUV sounds like a new car. When stopped you can barely hear the large 5.9L V8 idling away, it so quiet.

Used in all my vehicles - head to toe!

I have been using Amsoil for years. Everything from Signature Series to XL. All of my vehicles out-last anyone else's I know. I gave my daughter a 1997 Toyota Corolla years back and just put it to sleep with 387,000 miles on the clock.

I have a 2005 Acura RL with 168,000 miles and it too runs like a top! I attribute the use of Amsoils synthetics to its longevity and have no doubt there's another 168, 000 left in her.

My 2004 Dodge Ram has been on a once per year oil change interval since I bought it. It too will easily give me another 100,000 of service!

2012 Prius V. with 105, 000 miles and the oil still looks clean after 10,000 mile change intervals.

I've been using Amsoil products for over 30 years. I had stopped for a period of time. I've been using this product now in my 2015 Focus since I got it. 30,000 miles and the inside parts of the engine I can see through the fill port are as bright and shiny as the day I bought it.

The Right Lubricant for the Job

The Amsoil XL series has protected my vehicles for many years. When the formula was changed to protect against Low Speed Pre Ignition (LSPI) as well as an extended drain interval, I knew it continued to be the right lubricant for the job. Recently I purchased a pickup truck that could be vulnerable to LSPI so this formula change was very timely. I appreciate that Amsoil offers many choices for lubricant applications. This is a better approach than "one oil fits all" approach.

I began using Amsoil products in 1996 in a Buell S2T, with a HD Sportster 1200 engine. The temperature change from HD oil to Amsoil was almost 20 degrees cooler. I have never had a mechanical problem, including no clutch slipping with the bikes. I use it in my 2006 Victory 8 Ball, our 2010 Lincoln MKX, and my 2000, 2004, and 2013 Ram Hemi..

Great Product

Have always used either Amsoil or Mobil 1. Both are great oils and and every other oil change at 7500 miles in my Toyota Tundra, Lexus, Mazda and Honda CRV. I send the old oil off to Blackstone for analysis. The analysis of Amsoil and Mobil 1 both always show excellent wear and Blackstone recommends that I could go much longer between changes. Thus I usually buy Mobil 1 because I can get it at Costco, don't have to pay shipping and this makes it much cheaper.

Been using for years,and always recommend Amsoil

Very easy to look up vehicle or toy. It's very convenient for me to order oil and filter and send it to the house.I use it in all my vehicles also my sons trucks.

This is the Oil I use to put in the other 3 family Kias . 2 collage kids and wife's Sorento . One spotage turbo and one non . The mileage intervals help poor ol dads pocket book .

I use there motor oil in my 454 in my 92 suburban along with there fluids in my diffs. Eventually will be switching to the trans fluid too. And I run it in our kia made the engine run alot quieter then the factory oil

I've been using Amsoil for 12 to 14 years now and have never been disappointed by the product. I use Signature in my Jeep and XL in the rest of my families 2 or 4 cycle motor driven machines. 6 cars, 1 motorcycle, 3 lawnmowers, 2 chainsaws, 3 weed eaters and 2 generators.
I could go on, but just say "I have a lot of trust in AMSOIL."

I will keep buying this product.

I've used this product for about a year now and the intervals between oil changes continue to grow. I use my trucks gauge to see when it is needed. First couple of times I didn't really notice a difference. Now I'm on my fourth oil change and it has really made a big difference in the mileage between the last change. Great product. Keep it coming.

I would use AMSOIL in every engine

I started using Amsoil in my '84 Volvo at around 150,000 miles.
I drive the car about 70 miles a day, hard use.
I spend far less time doing oil changes and I almost never have to add oil.

Amsoil saved me from expensive engine repairs!

Ok, I am an Amsoil customer for life... Seriously! In February when it was still wicked cold here in Maine, I was having some engine starting and idling problems with my SUV when the overnight temperatures were 15F and colder. The engine would default to a safe "limp home" mode, and I was facing some expensive engine overhaul costs. My mechanic was very sure the symptoms had to do with dirty cam phasers. He suggested using Amsoil Engine and Transmission Flush to clean the engine (including the cam phasers) and switch to Amsoil Signature Series Synthetic Oil. I followed his advice and the results have been AMAZING! After the treatment I have had zero starting problems. And even better, the rattling sound that I thought was the water pump turned out to be the timing chain... no more noise! The Amsoil Engine Flush and motor oil solved both problems and they have given my 135K mile engine new life. I plan to treat all of my vehicles with these Amsoil products, and that includes the transmissions as well. If that wasn't reason enough to use Amsoil products, when I made my first purchase I decided to register as an Amsoil Preferred Customer. I saved much, much more than the registration fee over the cost of Amsoil products at the local auto parts store on that first purchase alone. Engine problem solved and low prices equal CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!! Thanks Amsoil!

I had heard about Amsoil and reviewed their data and wondered how much was real and how much is just advertising. Then I bought a new truck and thought to myself that I'm really going to have to take care of this thing because I probably wouldn't be able to buy another one in this lifetime due to cost and old age. If the data I had seen was accurate than Amsoil was the direction I needed to go for protection. I used the factory oil for 4900 miles then made the switch to Amsoil. So far I'm very pleased. Most notably with the fuel economy. I've gained 1.5 to 2.0 MPG in highway driving. That to me is impressive. I'm sold.

The latest price increases of the Signature Series Motor Oil no longer make that oil the bargain it used to be. I find using the XL Series the same as far as mileage goes and the increased protection over the OE Series gives me more peace of mind.

Great stuff

I have 3cars (one older corvette), 1 truck, 1 boat, and one Harley Davidson. I use Amsoil in all of them. My last truck I traded in had over 300,000 miles on it. Dealer commented "wow , this truck still runs great". all my vehicles run quiet with very little mechanical problems due to engine wear. I wouldn't think of using any other oil in my vehicles.

Extend your oil change intervals!

Love this product! My 200,000 plus mile Grand Cherokee is still going strong and getting 19 mpg. If your concerned about the added cost, don't be, with the extended change intervals you will save money in the long run! I will be changing my new wrangler to Amsoil as soon as it need fluid changes.

I will always use AMSOIL in my vehicles.

AMSOIL makes oil changes well worth it. I know they upped their change intervals, but I still change my oil every 10k miles. When I do the oil change, it almost seems like I should be following their new interval suggestion. The oil after the amount of use is darker, but it's still very fluid and not thick like other oils I've used before AMSOIL. I use their filters along with the XL oil and it is the perfect combination. I thank AMSOIL for some of the best products.

Great Oil

This product is used in my wife's 2010 Toyota Sienna. We use the EA filters from Amsoil and change the oil and filter every six months. During that time she puts about 6,000 to 7,000 miles on the vehicle and we use essentially no oil during that time period. I might have to add a 1/2 quart toward the end of the mileage period. I wouldn't have any other product in her vehicle or mine for that matter.

Where to begin? I have used Amsoil since 2004. Every one of my vehicles has or had Amsoil in it or put in it. The engines run quietier, easier, and cleaner. The best part is that the wife states that her vehicle warms up faster. Amsoil is a great product and well worth the $$$.

I run AMSOIL XL 5W-30 in both my Escape and F-150 with an AMSOIL High Mileage Filter and have been for years. Both vehicles are higher mileage now (Approx. 168,000 km / 105,000 miles) and still run fantastic. I wouldn't trust anything else!

Great product!

I would definitely buy this product again.

I've use this oils for the last 4 years on my car and I wouldn't think of changing. Up until recently the formula said it would get you to 10K, but now has been modified to go up to 12K. I have yet allow my car to get to 12K between changes, but I'm not doubting at all that it would last that long.

Excellent Protection - Value Priced

In my four personal vehicles I use Amsoil 0W-30 Signature Series and perform my own oil changes. I also perform oil changes for several of my adult children's vehicles. My brother-in-law does oil changes for his grandson who purchased one of our vehicles a year ago. He wanted to stay with the Amsoil products, but has a tight budget. My daughter's family also has budget challenges, so I have decided to use the reformulated 5W-30 XL oil for her vehicles. My brother-in-law also wanted go that route to save some money. I think it is a great alternative for exceptional protection and cleanliness (TBN 10) at a budget friendly cost.

Have been using Amsoil in my personal vehicles for the better part of a decade now. Michigan weather will eat the body off of the car but the engines purrrrrr! From small engines to ATV's to motorcycles to my Subaru, I can feel (smooth) and hear (quieter) the difference. Moreover, when friends comment on how good something of mine runs, it reinforces the fact that Amsoil is an intricate part of my maintenance routine with all engines in my family.

I haven't tried the new boosted formula yet but I have had no problems with the product the only thing I would like to see improve is the container I keep a quart bottle in the car with me due to a small oil leak I have and the bottle top leaked oil on to my carpet. This is nit picky I know but it's the only thing..

Bought some XL to take me to April, which is normally when I do my annual oil changes with the Signature Series. The XL works great, flows excellent in cold weather, etc. I've pretty much gone to using Amsoil in all my vehicle's, in every place lubricant is needed, from trans fluid, gear oil for the diferentials, grease, ect.! Most everything i buy for the vehicles comes from Amsoil!

XL for the ES330

I drive about 1000 miles a week as a Courier and I want ed an oil that would last up to 10k miles. So I gave Amsoil
5-w30 XL a try and when I drained the oil around 10 to 12K, the oil still had good lubrication despite the for change. I recommend trying it and you will not be dissapointed in my opinion.

Absolute best oil for your engine.

I've been using this oil now for 4 years and I get great protection and performance with it. On average I am changing my oil every 15'000 km. I drive a 2013 Chevy Cruze Eco with the 1.4Turbo and a 6 speed manual transmission. I wouldn't use anything else in my baby.

Put 30-40k miles a year on S60

Runs smooth gives me peace of mind. Typically put 10k miles within a few months so I cant speak to long term. I did forget to change in my wifes xc90 and turned to sludge at 14 months and 12k miles. Replaced the oil, ran some BG through it, and xc90 runs as smooth as ever.

I purchased my Wrx new, new the boxer engines and what oil to use I was recommended to amsoil co-worker said it would be perfect for the boxer engine, I have never had any oil consumption problems always runs great been using it for 5 years and love it. I do most of my business 400 miles away so I put a lot of miles on my trucks so when I have to but an extra thousand or 2 thousand miles on a truck I don't panic because I have great product I can trust, I also use amsoil in all my equipment.

Synthetic 5w30 XL with amsoil oil filter in my Infiniti FX. Changing every 10 000miles. Curently over 130k miles. Quality matters

I have used XL 5W30 since this car was new. At 240,000 kilometers it uses NO oil between changes, gets great fuel economy and looking in through the oil fill cap it is clean as new inside. The GM oil monitoring system still says I am at 30% at 18,000k.

Amzoil to keep my high performance WRX humming

When I bought my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX back in 2004, I wanted to use the best motor oil around to keep it performing at it's peak. I tried other brands of synthetic motor oil first and then found out about AmsOil while looking online to try and find the best. I then asked some co-workers about it and started to understand more about the company and the products offered. I signed up for a membership and ordered the regular synthetic from AmsOil and I could feel the difference from the other brands while driving my WRX. I eventually went with the XL product and extended the oil change intervals to between 5,000 - 7,000 miles on my car. My 2004 was totaled recently in an accident and now have a 2017 WRX which I plan to continue treating it to AmsOil XL synthetic oil while I have it.
As long as the prices for products remains competitive, I know what I'll be buying for my cars.

Great oil

I use this oil in my 2007 Hummer H3 along with other Amsoil products, it has improved performance and fuel mileage. Also in a Hummer H3 the intake and emissions design causes the throttle body to get dirty, this causes performance issues. Amsoil has reduced the times I have to clean that. Give Amsoil a chance and you will believe.

I use xl 5w-30 exclusively in all my vehicles and vehicles entrusted to me to maintain / repair. From ambient temperatures ranging between -20°f to 105°f this oil has performed it's function well. All vehicles are serviced every 6 months with mileage ranging between 3000 and 6000 miles. The oil still looks rather clean when drained. Oil pressure is very good regardless of engine temperature.

I use this in my 1996 G.M.C. K 1500, and my 2004 Toyota Highlander Limited all wheel drive. NEVER had a product problem. I generally change the Oil Filter (with an Amsoil filter) at 5k, top off, do a complete oil change at 10k, I use nothing but Amsoil products in my vehicles. Between the two, there are over 300k on the vehicles! I also use this oil in my lawnmower.. I know I'm not supposed to, but,, it works! I just change it every new mowing season.

I have been using this oil a very long time.

2005 Ford Escape, 10,000 miles oil changes every 6 months. Now has 160, 000 miles on it. Runs and sounds new. Don't use a drop of oil between changes. I'm not surprised though, I use Amsoil products in all my vehicle, motorcycles, lawn equipment for as long as I can remember. Best on the market..

Will buy product again

Used this product for my 2008 350z Roadster, this is the second go runaround with this product. I have noticed my engine runs smother and idles better (66,100 plus miles). I used other brands of synthetic oils on my prior vehicles (Mobil1, Royal Purple, Castrol) but by far I am the most satisfied with Amsoil. I want to use the best product available and so far this is the best to me until otherwise. I have not performed any lab test or chemical analysis but real life driving. Also I need to mention better gas mileage, how I know I am getting better gas mileage? I know because I do not fill my tank as often (i use Premium that is what Nissan requires for maximum performance) I wish Amsoil had a high-performance filter like K&N or aFE, I would buy it too

This grade oil is used in my wife's Toyota Sienna. Like my Camry, this oil is changed every 6 months. I have never had to add more than a quart of oil in the timeframe.

I use it in my 2007 Silverado Classic 4.3. I beat the snot out of my truck and I can tell this oil lasts much longer than the regular so-called synthetics. Not only do I get better mileage but the truck burns less oil when compared to the mobil 1 that I used for years.

Better mileage, less wear

I've been using Amsoil for the last 250,000 miles of driving between my current and prior car. I just wish I'd discovered it sooner. When I first switched to it, I kept careful MPG records and found that the increase in mileage with Amsoil more than offset the higher cost of the synthetic usage. What's more important, oil consumption in both cars between oil changes (6,000 miles on average, which I arrived at as a time for changes based on lab analysis of the used oil) has been zero, even when my last car was up at 200,000+ miles.

Great Products

I bought a 2005 GMC Serra 1500 new in November 2004. I have used XL5-30 and wix oil filter ever sense the first oil change. It now has 183000 miles on it and other than a set of spark plugs (it's due for another) the motor has been untouched and runs great dose not use but half a quart of oil between oil changes (every six months).
I also have changed the transmission fluid twice and used am soil transmission fluid and wix filter and the fluid is always nice and red and no transmission problems.
My 1996 Harley Davidson electraglide has been running on 20-50 V-twin oil in the motor, tranny, and primary for years again no problems great stuff !

Many years ago I had an 87 ford f150 with lifter noise at 100k miles. I ran across an Amsoil dist. at that time, I changed to Amsoil, noise went away and I put another 150k miles on the truck and the engine was still quiet when I sold it. All I ever did to it was a new timing chain. Been using Amsoil ever since in every vehicle.

Excellent product for the money.

For years, I used mobil1. When the time came, I switched to Mobil 1 high mileage. About 2 years ago I started to get a subtle knock coming from the bottom end of the motor. It also started to use oil between oil changes. When I switched to Amsoil, not only did the knock go away immediately, my now 170,000 mile engine consumes no oil between oil changes.

Great product and made my trip worry-free

This summer I decided to do my #1 bucket list trip of a lifetime and I drove cross-country from Connecticut to Oregon/Washington and everywhere in between. I used amsoil for the first time in my 2013 GMC Terrain (new to me in Feb.) and I drove over 8,000 miles in 3 1/2 weeks. I never had to add any oil and my vehicle ran perfect. I was over 10,900' elevations and others many times on the drive out and back and was in temperatures from 50-95 degrees. I am now hooked on using amsoil in my vehicles and thank my boss for recommending it.

XL 5W-30 MOTOR OIL

I have used XL 5W-30 motor oil in two vehicles for the last six years. Very happy with performance and wear. I would recommend this oil to everyone.

Best oil

I have a turbo charged 4 cylinder Chevy which tends to run hot. I use Amsoil because the science says superior engine protection under high heat conditions. With 136,000 miles in 3.5 years have had no problems. I will keep using Amsoil.

Helping my RallyX car scream

I have always used synthetics in my motors and never miss a beat when it comes to maintenance. I recently started racing RallyX with my wife and I have heard great things about Amsoil so I thought we would give it a try. I had no idea what we were missing out on. Basically it took the motors efficiency and turned it up to 11. Just changing to Amsoil from one race we were able to push our 88' Mazda 323 motor into a top 5 finish against cars as new as 2016. I now use Amsoil in all my cars and buy oil by the case.

I've used Amsoil products sense the 70's and they never fail to deliver. I have never had a oil related engine problem. Plus when everybody compares themselves to a product then which do you buy?

Best oil around for the price

I have been using XL 5W-30 in a Chevy Vortec 8.1 L V8 and in several automobiles for several years. It has kept my engines squeaky clean and running. This is a solid motor oil. I change oil every 6 months which sometimes gets a little over the limit for miles (6k to 8k), but the oil could withstand many more miles it is so strong.

Recently, I serviced a 5.3 L Chevy Vortec that we had no service records for. The engine was not running well and we took it to a dealer who said they would have to replace the oil pump. I knew the oil pump was ok and explained to them that the oil pressure was going up and down, indicating a bad sender unit, but they wouldn't even try.

I took the vehicle back, drained out half the oil and replaced it with ATF and ran it for several minutes. The oil pressure came back after about a minute and hasn't been any trouble since. I then changed the oil/filter and put in 6 qts of XL 5W-30. It runs like a new engine. The engine had 237,000 miles and my guess is that it had been serviced with some standard brand of oil, which is fine for most engines, but not this brand. It was so chocked full of crud that when I put a good synthetic (not Amsoil, the owner provided the oil) in it, it loosened all the stuff up but couldn't deal with it. The ATF cleaned everything out and the XL 5W-30 cleaned the rest and makes her purr.

I have never found a better oil than this for the price.

I use Amsoil 5W30 in my daughter's 2005 Toyota Corolla. Other grades of Amsoil in our other cars. I LOVE the extended drain intervals and quality oul i get with every purchase!

Been using this oil for years

I use Amsoil in all my vehicles-- from a 34 Ford to a new Equinox. Just sold a 97 accord with 300,000 miles on amsoil and engine was still like new. I also convert all to other amsoil fluids early in their life. Never had a failure of any component using amsoil.

XL 5w-30 Synthetic Motor Oil

I have been using all types of Amsoil products in my personal vehicles and swear by its performance. I use this oil currently in my 2009 Colorado and change it every 5-6k miles. I never have to add any during the oil life cycle. At 82k miles it runs extremely quiet and seems to run cooler even on long trips 700+ miles at least two times annually.

I will buy this product for s long as I have the same car!

I use it for the oil change on my 2001 VW Jetta TDI. Since I started using it, I've noticed my engine runs smoother, making less noise. And, together with a couple of other small upgrades to the engine, it also helps me get almost 5 mpg better than what it did before I switched oils in September of 2009. Ams oil is by far the best oil I've ever used on any of my vehicles.

Amsoil XL 5w30

This oil has never let me down. I always average two miles per gallon better over other leading synthetic oils. Perfect oil for longer intervals and reduces O.C. issues. Great work again AMSoil.

So Far ; So Good

This wasn't my first AMSOIL purchase but lost my local dealer so bit the bullet and became a preferred customer. Just wish I was bright enough to buy some extra oil that I will lose when I do the filter change in 5K miles! DUH! Bought a GM Certified 2011 GMC Canyon with 73,000 miles . I did the AMSOIL engine flush as per instructions and NO; the high mileage engine didn't start weeping oil! Let it drain all day to get the last drop of whatever was in there out. Within the first 500 miles, I can say I am getting noticeable increase in fuel efficiency. I haven't done the math because I don't have a reference for the pre-change MPG. I just know that a tank of gas stretches a bit further. What is also noticeable is the engine seems smoother at startup and runs cooler on the road. Not a very technical review but I can say I've been using and will keep on using this product.

I really like Amsoil. To me none finer. When ever you do something where oil is involved you will find it really slippery. I fine the engines run smoother, quieter, and cooler. And I drive long distance at times.

Best of the best

I was introduced to this product (won a case)in the late 70s as a door prizes at a golf tournament.
I got away from it until I bought my 2000 F150 when I worked with sone one who was a representative.
It is the best product. I also put it in my wife's 1992 Toyota.
When I had it (Toyota) torn down the shop couldn't believe how clean it was internally.
I have not had my F150 worked on internally because it is still great with over 247,000 miles.
It is worth the money and effort to use and change your own oil with Amsoil.

Awesome Oil

I have been running Amsoil XL 5W-30 My 1999 GMC Pickup since 2005 I do 8000 mile oil changes and have not seen a dirty black dipstick since. I use to now when the oil needed changed because it was time to add a quart but it no longer uses that quart every 3000 miles When I changed everything in the pickup to Amsioil the tranny the diffs the engine this pickup went from 16 MPG to 21 MPG. The 2007 Chevy Cobalt has never seen anything but Amsoil Since it's break in oil.

Great Oil!

Everything about my experience with AMSOIL has been great.
The service was excellent and the product itself is phenomenal, I can't see myself ever changing engine oils again, especially since I can go 16,000 kms on one oil change.
